Independent · Amazon-funded · No test lab
Home saunas, ranked with live prices and the numbers others skip.
Top-rated infrared, barrel, indoor and portable saunas — plus the running cost, EMF and wiring figures most "tested" roundups leave out. When the cheaper sauna is the better buy, we say so, even though the pricier one pays us more.

The difference
What we do that the others don't
Prices that are actually live
Every price comes from Amazon's API and is stamped with the date we checked it. If our data is more than 48 hours old, the number disappears and the button says "Check price" instead. It never shows a stale figure — no competitor in this category does this.
We publish the running-cost math
Power in kW times your session hours times your electricity rate. We show the arithmetic for every sauna type so you can reproduce it. Not one of the roundups we checked publishes cost-to-run data.
We standardize the EMF and wiring
Whether a cabin plugs into a normal outlet or needs a 240V circuit and an electrician. What "low EMF" actually means. These are the numbers that decide the buy, and everyone else skips them.
We do not run a testing lab
And we won't write "in our testing" as though we do. We compile published specs, cite the manufacturer, do the math, and tell you plainly when we couldn't verify something.

How this is funded
We earn a commission. Here's exactly how.
Sauna & Slate is funded by the Amazon Associates program. When you buy through one of our links we earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. No brand pays us for placement, no manufacturer sends us units, and no commission rate has ever changed a ranking — which is why you'll find a $150 portable ranked honestly against a $5,000 barrel on this site.
